Emerald Rain Dances In Moonlit Trees is a Changing Moon Lunar from the
south-east jungles of Creation. She received the blessing of Luna
shortly after her small tribe was ravaged by slavers. She used her
gifts to free as many of her people as she could and drive off the
slavers. In the decades since then, Rain has spent much of her time
protecting the peoples of the jungle from the incursions of
'civilized' men. Rain prefers her Spirit Form, that of the small tree
leopards native to her jungle home, to her human form. She simply
feels more comfortable as a cat than as a human now. She will only
appear human when she has to, like when appearing to the jungle
tribes. Even then, she often mixes traits of her feline self with her
human self.

The tribes she protects know her as the Tree Leopard Woman, and though
some do remember that she was once one of them, most believe she is a
jungle goddess. The tribes regularly leave her offerings of food and
trinkets. They have even come to revere the tree leopards themselves,
thinking of them as Rain's children (in some cases rightly so). While
Rain has not dissuaded the tribes from worshiping her, she has told
them that she is the daughter of the moon, and it is Luna who deserves
their prayers more than her.

Rain is not a fighter, but she is quite cunning. She will flee when
the odds are not in her favor. If cornered she will put up a vicious
fight, all the while looking for a way to escape. She avoids brute
force, accomplishing her goals with subterfuge and manipulation. She
has a great many alternate forms, and is not above drinking the
heart's blood of a human, if having their form will aid her in some
way. Gifted with a seductive charm, Rain has used the jungle tribe's
reverence of her to guide them, hoping that she can bring them
together into a unified people better able to survive the predations
of Imperial Slavers.

(I've always loved Clouded Leopards, so when I decided to experiment
with the Lunar creation rules, I chose that animal for a Spirit Form.
Rain grew from an experiment to a fully formed character, though I
wonder if I will ever get to play her - she wouldn't be easy for me to
play. I'm not very good with indirect characters, and Eos is still my
first choice after all.)
